WVDNR Issues Permits for Class N Lottery Hunts
Hunters reminded to get proper licenses and stamps before the season
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) today announced that permits for Class N limited permit areas have been mailed to hunters. Successful applicants may also check their permit status by logging into their WVDNR account at WVhunt.com.
“Lottery hunts play an essential role in managing deer populations where extra harvest is needed and in maintaining the health of our forests and wildlife,” said WVDNR Director Brett McMillion. “We congratulate those selected and encourage every hunter to be prepared and enjoy the tradition of hunting in West Virginia this fall.”
Hunters are reminded that West Virginia’s deer hunting regulations apply to all controlled hunts and that receiving a permit does not exempt them from purchasing a hunting license. All participants must hold a valid West Virginia hunting license and purchase a Class N stamp (for residents) or a Class NN stamp (for nonresidents) to take part in the limited antlerless deer seasons. Licenses and stamps are available at WVhunt.com.
