Popular event for outdoor enthusiasts scheduled for Sept. 26-28 at Canaan Valley Resort
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR) announced today that registration is now open for its Becoming An Outdoors Woman (BOW) fall workshop, scheduled to return to Canaan Valley Resort State Park on Sept. 26-28.
This popular three-day program provides an all-inclusive experience where participants can learn about hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Designed for beginners and those looking to expand their skills, the workshop offers a supportive, hands-on learning environment led by experienced instructors and staff from the WVDNR’s Wildlife Resources, Law Enforcement and State Parks sections.
“The Becoming an Outdoors Woman program opens the door to a world of outdoor adventure for women of all backgrounds,” said Emily McCabe, WVDNR state coordinator for BOW. “Whether you’re picking up a fishing rod for the first time or learning how to track wildlife, you’ll find a welcoming community and build the skills and confidence to enjoy the outdoors for years to come.”
